When I first got into photography in college, film was all there was, of course. My first black and white darkroom classes opened up something that I loved. Sadly, it would not be a hobby I continued with for many years. I used a borrowed Pentax 35mm camera for those classes and when I handed it back over to my friend after graduation it was sold at a pawn shop only days later. Had I known its fate, perhaps I would have tried to buy it. In late 2023 I brushed off some of my film cameras I've acquired over the years and my collection grew quickly through 2024. Though I still enjoy 35mm, I spend more time and energy shooting with medium format (120) film and cameras such as the Fuji GW690iii, the Fuji GS645S, and the Mamiya 645 TL.
